Educational support for a child or group of children

Most children living in foster care institutions have a significant delay in their studies, translated into limited possibilities for continuing with education or finding a job as they grow older. With this program, volunteers become a reference for children, helping and supporting them in taking their studies forward.

WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
Leisure activities during the weekend for a group of children (go for a walk, picnic, play in the park…). 

FREQUENCY?
Weekly / Every two weeks 

PURPOSE?
Although these children are well cared for, they often have emotional deficiencies and several limitations when it comes to enjoying leisure time. At Soñar Despierto, we believe in the importance of playing and having fun to grow up. Our volunteers are the perfect people to make the kids enjoy and feel special for a few hours a week.

ONE-OFF VOLUNTEERING
WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
Volunteers who cannot commit to becoming part of any of the Foundation's programmes on a regular basis, can still help us with many of our activities on a one-off basis.

Occasionally. 

PURPOSE?
We want to ensure that children living in foster care institutions have the opportunity to enjoy special activities throughout the year. These activities are not only a privilege for the children but also a great opportunity for volunteers who cannot commit to a weekly schedule.

CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING
WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
Soñar Despierto establishes different types of collaborations with companies that enrich both employees who get involved in voluntary activities and children who enjoy leisure activities, training workshops, motivation...

FREQUENCY?
According to the collaboration.

PURPOSE?
Corporate volunteering gives children under foster care the opportunity to enjoy activities that are usually hard for them to access due to cost. In addition, it is a very rewarding experience for employees who learn a great from the children and spend a rewarding day giving back and doing a team building activity.

FAMILY VOLUNTEERING
WHAT DOES IT CONSIST OF?
Soñar Despierto organizes different group activities with the aim that families (with children) and foster children enjoy leisure activities together.

FREQUENCY?
Every two months.
 
PURPOSE?
It is essential for children under foster care to know the functioning of a structured family with healthy emotional ties between its members. For families, this is a great opportunity to do an activity together and show their children the importance of being empathetic and inclusive with less lucky children.
