Training

The project

Training is essential because it provides them with the skills, confidence and opportunities needed to succeed in the world of work and, ultimately, to lead independent and fulfilling lives. It is also an investment in the future of these young people and in society as a whole, as it contributes to social inclusion and the reduction of inequality.

This project is made possible thanks to the collaboration of various companies, which play a fundamental role in the professional training of adolescents through volunteering.

From Soñar Despierto, we adapt to the proposals that different entities offer from their experience as long as they meet the needs expressed by adolescents growing up in centers.

Basically, this collaboration includes two types of initiatives:

  • Training programs: Companies can offer specific training programs that help young people develop skills needed for employment. These programs can range from technical skills to soft skills, such as communication and problem solving.
  • Resources and network access: Companies can provide access to their professional networks and resources, which can help mentored youth establish contacts and find long-term employment opportunities.

Why it is important

Offering vocational training programs to adolescents is an investment in their future, their well-being and their ability to contribute meaningfully to society. By providing them with the tools and experience necessary to succeed in the world of work, it fosters their independence and helps them overcome the challenges associated with the reality they are living in.

In addition, these types of collaborations not only offer teenagers a greater vision of the different job alternatives they can access in the medium and long term, but at the same time, they provide them with the opportunity to integrate into the community and establish social and professional connections, which is fundamental to help reduce the sense of isolation they often experience.

Finally, it is important to note that adolescents growing up in these centers often face higher unemployment rates compared to other youth their age. In this sense, any training provides them with a competitive advantage in the labor market, which can help reduce youth unemployment and dependence on public assistance.

How it works

From Soñar Despierto we will analyze the different proposals that the collaborating companies send us and, given our experience, we will evaluate which ones will be well received by young people and we will send them to them.

The Daydreaming team will be in charge of coordinating the attendance of interested teenagers as well as the definition of the different sessions with the collaborating companies.

Why it is important

This project may be carried out in Madrid, Barcelona and Valencia.
