Minors residing in shelters come from dysfunctional families and have come under the child protection system for various reasons: abuse, sexual abuse, parental alcoholism or drug addiction, abandonment or neglect, among others.
For all of them, the State provides assistance that lasts until the age of 18, at which point they are forced to leave the center and become adults overnight with few material and financial resources.
Soñar Despierto wants, with its programs for former foster youth, to help "older minors" in their process of independence, offering them the same opportunities as any other young person of their age, through the following activities:
Where education finds a helping hand
A roof for dreaming
For transition to adulthood
